i agree i think this is pretty funny, but at the same time i think its a bit of dark humor because it shows how much people have lost faith in art not only as a viable source of income but as a respectable career
Its funny, because in the actual debate, neither president really answered this boys answer. Governor Romney said basically "I will make sure you have a job" I dont think he will personally promise me this. When President Obama had time to talk he went off on a story about how America needs to invest in alternate power.... Not very good responses from either of them! I think a laugh like that would have been better than the answers they gave. :)
I thought it was really funny but was really scared to say anything in case there were art majors, but I'm glad to see that even those majoring in art find humor in this :) I got a really good laugh out of it and also may forward this to my friend that is majoring in art.
This is a really funny add. I got thinking how it really appeals because of it humor. Humor is something that always catches my attention. I was also scared to say something because I don't want to make fun of anybody for what they like, but it is really funny.
Glad you guys thought this was as funny as I did....it was not meant to poke fun at art majors, but I think (as an English major), it could apply pretty well to anyone majoring in the humanities! We don't get humanities degrees because they pay well, right? We do it because we love what we do, and we don't mind the prospect of living in a cardboard box, haha.
Also, just to be fair, here's a joke: What's the difference between an English major and a large pizza? A large pizza can feed a family of five. =)
